Who Is Sorina Rotaru?

Sorina Rotaru is part of Bucharest’s live jazz scene, with a voice and repertoire shaped by classic jazz, emotional storytelling and warm Latin influences. Her work includes the debut album Open Your Wings, released in 2022, as well as projects such as Human Song – Jazz Portraits and singles including You Deserve and Whee Baby.

Her musical path brings together study, performance and personal interpretation. After discovering jazz more deeply through a jam session in Berlin, she continued her artistic development in Romania, studying at the National University of Music Bucharest.

At Sous Sol, that background translates into a performance that feels close, elegant and expressive,  the kind of live music that does not simply sit in the background, but changes the way the room breathes.
